General FAQ
Where is the shop?
3a Calle Poniente, San Salvador. We pick up free from any San Salvador hotel and drive to the lake and the coast.
Can I book alone?
Yes, for the volcano dive. Solo divers are welcome and there's no minimum, so your dive goes ahead even if you're the only one booked.
Do I need to be certified for the volcano dive?
Yes. You need an Open Water certification or higher for fun dives. Not certified? Book a Try Scuba or Open Water course.
Can I rent gear?
Yes. A full set is US$25 per day, or US$20 per day for 3 days or more. Individual pieces are also available. See the Shop page for the full list. Gear is already included in all our dive trips and courses.
What should I know about flying after diving?
Plan enough surface time before your flight home. We'll help you schedule your dives around it.
Do you speak English?
Yes. We run dives and courses in English and Spanish.
Should I get DAN membership?
We recommend it for every traveling diver. See our About page.
When is ocean season?
Los Cóbanos trips run December 15 through the end of March. The volcano is open all year.
What's your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 72 hours before your dive. If we cancel for weather or conditions, you get a full refund or a free new date. See the Booking Policy.
